Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise is easy to make. Making it yourself guarantees the ingredients are healthy. Refrigerate in a wide mouth mason jar for use when needed. I use avocado oil in this recipe. Olive oil has a strong flavour that doesn't work well. The best priced avocado oil is Chosen from Costco.


It is important to use a stick blender for this recipe and a tall jar.


In a tall jar combine the following ingredients:


2 large eggs

2 tablespoons vinegar

2 teaspoons mustard powder

1/2 teaspoon salt


Blend with stick blender until smooth.


While blending with the stick blender, very slowly add:


2 cups of avocado oil


I use a measuring cup with a pouring spout to add the oil a little bit at a time while blending.


Blend until thick and smooth.


Transfer to desired storage jar and store in the fridge.
